Tecno Mobile, one of Nigeria's Leading mobile technology multinational has, on the 8th of June, taken the veils off their latest addition to the Spark family – Tecno Spark 2 at an event in Lagos, Nigeria. It has been barely a year or thereabout since the first Tecno Spark smartphones, Tecno Spark K7 and Tecno Spark Plus K9 were unveiled.
The device which is the second version of the TECNO Spark series combines high-end features with the top-of-the-line user experience of the latest Android Go™ from Google.

Overview
One of the major highlights of the device is the trending full view display which dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio. Apart from the screen, there have been major improvements in the design language, camera, and battery department as well.
The new Spark device sports a bigger screen size of 6.0 inches and comes with HD+ display and the 18:9 aspect ratio. Its display resolution is at 720 by 1440 pixels with 320 PPI.
The Spark 2 also got a major revamp in the design department, looking slim and sleek. Its polycarbonate body is absolutely stunning and gorgeous for a budget device. The curved antenna lines at the top corner make this device a stunner.
When it comes to performance, the Spark 2 smartphone does not offer a significant upgrade when compared to last year Spark K7. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6580WP which is a Quad-core processor having a 32-bit CPU architecture. The Quad-core processor clocks at the normal speed of 1.3GHz and operates on the 28nm process technology. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 clocks at 416MHz for a smooth ride.
Android 8.1 Oreo is pre-installed on the Tecno Spark 2 with the HiOS v3.3.0. The device houses a non-removable 3500 mAh battery that doesn’t support quick charge technology. 4G network option is also absent on the new Spark 2 smartphone
Price and Availability
Tecno Spark 2 price in Nigeria is around 36,200 naira (100 USD) for the 1GB RAM version and about 38,000 naira (105 USD) for the 2GB RAM variant. The phone will be available for purchase in offline and online stores in Nigeria and other countries.
