Overview
The Samsung Galaxy S9 features a front/back Gorilla Glass 5 aluminum frame with a design which almost looks similar to the previous Galaxy S series smartphone. The phone comes with a 5.8" display size, quite smaller than the Galaxy Note 8 but has an increased display size in the S9+.
The smartphone fits comfortably in the hand with a grand edge-to-edge display which curves over the sides of the phone. The 18.5:9 display ratio gives a cinematic view and a colorful viewing experience.
Galaxy S9 also comes with a 12MP single camera on the back with a dual aperture which can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4, depending on lighting conditions. The 8MP front camera allows ultimate selfies even in low light.
A more secure unlocking method has been added, where face recognition and iris scanning have been merged into Intelligent Scan. The fingerprint sensor on the S9 has been moved from the right of the camera to a more centralized location just below the camera.
The Galaxy S9 comes with a 4GB RAM size and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor which runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo). The internal storage of the device varies from 64GB to 256GB which is also expandable up to 400GB via microSD card storage.
Don't be afraid to go out and get wet. Galaxy S9 and S9+ have an IP68 rating, meaning you don't have to stop texting or taking photos on account of rain. The battery capacity of the S9 is 3000mAh and 3,500mAh in S9+.
