As HTC struggles to regain its stand in the smartphone business, they've also decided to focus its R&D marketing efforts towards a limited number of smartphones up for release in 2018.
Digitimes revealed that they're also expected to release a variant version of its HTC U11+ in January 2018.
The HTC U11+ might be a cheaper and mid-range version. Gadgets 360 has it that HTC would also announce the HTC U12 flagship smartphone in 2018, which is rumoured to sport a 4K display and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
Additionally, the HTC U12 might also feature a dual rear camera setup. HTC launched its HTC U11 Life and U11+ smartphones last month and both smartphones run a stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo.
Sadly, HTC recorded a net loss of NT$7.102 billion (US$237.42 million) or NT$8.64 per share for the first three quarters of 2017.
We definitely hope HTC regains its stand in the smartphone industry come 2018.
